Mark Jackson is a Vascular Surgeon at the Gold Coast Hospital in Queensland. He graduated from UNSW in 1992 and completed general surgical training in Sydney before embarking on a 3 year clinical and research fellowship at St Mary's Hospital and with the National Heart & Lung Institute, Imperial College, London. His MD thesis examined the role of haemodynamics in vascular graft remodelling using Computational Fluid Dynamics. On returning to Australia, he completed vascular training in Sydney and Melbourne. As a member of the Board of Vascular surgery, he is a co-facilitator of the RACS Vascular Skills Course in Brisbane and is examining the role of simulation and technical skills assessment in Vascular surgery. |
