Mounir is from the Discipline of Anatomical Sciences, The University of Adelaide, where he coordinates anatomy programs for the second year MBBS, neuroanatomy for dental students, and Applied Anatomy of the cranial nerves elective for third year MBBS. Mounir coordinates postgraduate anatomy courses for trainees in general surgery, neurosurgery and psychiatry. Having a medical qualification has assisted Mounir in presenting anatomy in a clinical context. Mounir was awarded the Dean’s Prize for Excellence in Teaching in 2006. His major areas of research interest are cerebral oedema, blood-brain barrier and brain trauma. |
