Jack is a retired consultant vascular surgeon after 30 years of service at Flinders Medical Centre. He is currently a part-time Senior Lecturer at Flinders University, South Australia and co-ordinates the Surgery teaching program for the Graduate Entry Medical Programme. As of 2010 he has commenced as an Examiner for the Australian Medical Council.
